The amazing world of Google and Netvibes!

I`m using Google a lot - both, in my work and just for fun, like, typing in search box "Laura Lauberga" and then looking for results. :) And I am one of the lazy people, who never had made a deeper research over Google itself, so everytime I was looking for information, I did it in hard way. Thats why todays lessons was very valuable for me! We learnt the possibilities, that Google offers us to make search more advanced and do that even being away from computer.
The other amazing thing we discovered today, is Netvibes! You get your personal space on Internet, where you collect all the www stuff you use daily, and where you can take a quick review over it.
While I was waiting for free computer, I made out the outlines, how them both - Google and Netvibes - could be used in history lessons for a research. For example, use Google Alerts to collect the recources of some topic, do it for some period of time, go through them and the ones that you need put on Netvibes, and in the end of research make an analysis, evaluation, feedback, summary, resume, annotation, basically, whatever you want and need, out of the collected resources. Working only with resources, instead of concrete information, is also a way of learning. I usually teach my students to use contents of books this way. :) Thats my idea! Its just an outline of the one, which I will develope some day! :)
